God is like mother.
Assume a function at house & mother is the only one for all arrangements, her kid of just 7 years comes and says...mother I would help you in all your work. No matter what work that small kid can do but when some guest arrives & says everything is been arranged so perfectly, loving mother would say it is only because of my kid who helped me in work. Even if the kid hardly did anything but mother wont mind giving all the credit to her little one......God is like mother, he wont see what we did for him, small or big but only if we try to do something for him he would give us all the credit in life.

Assume a father with his own money gets sweets for his kid & the kid offers the same sweet to his father saying, father you eat first. Father bought from his money & do not desire to eat but still his heart would get filled that my kid cares so much, God is the one who gave us everything, everything belongs to him directly & indirectly but if we offer him with love his heart gets filled, he do not desire to eat but desire love from us in what ever way we could.
